Booking Guide for Commercial Novel Cover

Rough - Sketch and Colour - Before Completion
The number of modifications for each step is limited to one.
Objects that do not affect the detailed image or overall configuration can be added in the middle after consultation.
+ This modification restriction is the minimum standard
for preventing excessive modifications and requests that cannot be made at that stage.
▶ Cost guidance
The base price varies depending on the number of characters and the composition, so when sending an inquiry email, please provide the following details in advance: Number of characters /Genre /Background details/Chest-up, half-body, or full-body illustration.
If the illustration includes complex elements or numerous details, additional charges may apply. The exact final price will be determined after reviewing your project guide.
For personal commissions (without a company contract), a 20% deposit of the base price is required to secure a slot. Work will begin once 50% of the final amount has been paid in the agreed month.
Upon completion, I will first provide a low-resolution preview for review. The final high-resolution file will be delivered once the remaining balance has been received.
+ Refund Policy: If the project is canceled due to the illustrator’s circumstances, the deposit will be fully refunded.
If the client cancels, the deposit is non-refundable.
▶ Guide file specification
Guidelines for Project Submission & Feedback
1. Project guides must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the deadline.
2. Feedback on the delivered file must be provided within 48 hours.
If there are delays in submitting the guide or confirming feedback, it may become difficult to meet the deadline, so I kindly ask for your understanding. If feedback is not received within 48 hours without a specific reason, it will be considered as approved with no revisions.
Guide Requirements
Your guide should include:
1. A brief description of the character’s personality, appearance, and situation
2. Reference images
3. A simple sketch (Optional)
For the simple sketch, you don’t need to worry too much—just use basic lines or shapes to roughly illustrate the scene you have in mind.
Image References
Photos that match the desired atmosphere and object details are the best references.
If you’re sending illustration references for inspiration, please provide several works with a similar atmosphere and composition rather than a single illustration.
⚠ Important: Requests for style replication or imitation of a specific artist’s work are not allowed.
▶ Regarding the last forwarding file
The completed file is delivered in two types: psd and jpg(rgb/cmyk) files.
+ When printing, the color and brightness of the workpiece may be slightly murky compared to the monitor.
Only fatal errors (existence of dots different from the guide, missing pre-described accessories) can be further corrected after the deadline.
▶ When used for the production and sale of goods other than the cover of a novel.
if you make to sell goods, you have to pay 30% of the basic amount.
But this is not the case if you are producing postcards or photo cards that will be distributed free of charge to customers purchasing novels.
